Battling the Beast

Following the success of the Beast of Ballyhoura over the last 5 years we are proud to announce that the Beast will be back for 2012. The experienced team from Causeway Coast Adventure Racing Club will be taking on the planning of the event and running it in association with Ballyhoura Failte. An exciting new route awaits offering lots of challenges along some of Irelands highest mountain ranges, most beautiful rivers and taking in some of Irelands finest historical and heritage sites. Are you ready to meet the Beast?

The event features the Beast of Ballyhoura Adventure Race, a uniquely Irish 36 hour non-stop race across the ancient & magical surroundings of counties Cork, Limerick & Tipperary. Mixed teams of four mountain run, bike, kayak, abseil, orienteer & shoot. Navigating the best route to win, prepare to meet your demons during this event designed to push each team to their limits (and maybe even beyond them). The Beast of Ballyhoura also incorporates the 8th All Ireland Inter Services Challenge to unearth Ireland’s toughest service men and women. Are you tough enough?
